Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed she contracted coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on a movie set.
The revelation was made on the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Instagram page on Sunday.
According to the 42-year-old, she struggled to come forward with the news.
Omotola mentioned that she contracted the disease despite making sure she was safe at all times.
She added that people should take care of their health and get tested regularly.
“Dear Friends, I struggled with going public with this, but I had No peace and I believe this is what God wants me to do, so I hope his will be done.
“People who know me are all shocked as I’m one of the Most Careful who kept really safe. What then happened? Well, I got this on a Set. A Movie set. So please, I am speaking to you all out of love, please We need to be extra careful now,” she wrote.
On Saturday, the movie star disclosed she contracted COVID-19 and was currently receiving treatment in isolation.
