Fuji musician Kollington Ayinla has revealed he is not in the habit of celebrating his birthdays, saying it is the reason he did not have a party on his 67th birthday.
In an interview with The Punch published on Sunday, the 67-year-old said his birthday was not a big deal and that was why he decided not to make noise about it.
“I didn’t celebrate my birthday in a loud way. I just prayed with members of my family and band members. I feel happy and delighted that I’m celebrating myself, even though people also celebrated with me. COVID-19 pandemic didn’t stop me from celebrating. The fact is that I have never celebrated my birthday in a big way. There’s no specific reason for that, I don’t like it and I don’t want it,” he said.
Kollington Ayinla turned 67 last Tuesday.
His younger colleagues Saheed Osupa and Pasuma joined to celebrate him on his special day.
