Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has been named the most outstanding female footballer in Benue State.
The Gboko-born star was presented the award by a group Benue Coalition for Good Governance.
Francisca, 26, said in a social media post on Monday that she was honoured to be recognised as such.
Her post read: “Congratulations to me… I am honored for being recognized by my people of Benue state…as the Most Outstanding Female Footballer in Benue State…The award was organized by Benue Coalition for Good governance. Proudly Benue/Tiv.”
Francisca plays for Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Women’s Super League.
She had in July appealed to the Federal Government to open the airports for international flights, adding that she misses “beautiful moments like hugs and dancing with teammates”.
International flights will resume in Nigeria on August 29, although with precautions and exceptions.
