Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero will be paying an official visit to Kwara State his maternal home.
Kwara State Commissioner for Communications Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin stated this in a release on Thursday.
She urged Kwara residents to give the monarch a warm welcome.
“We call on citizens, especially those in the state capital Ilorin, to accord the revered Emir a welcome that is befitting of his distinguished royal stool.
“The state government is indeed glad and honoured to welcome the Emir of Kano, and wishes his royal highness a memorable stay in the state of harmony,” she stated.
The emir replaced Lamido Sanusi who was deposed by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
