Nigerian celebrities have trooped out on Twitter to join the call for the end of Nigeria Police Force’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The call followed allegations SARS officials shot a man in front of a hotel in Ughelli, Delta State on Saturday.
Although Minister of State, Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo has said that SARS did not kill anyone in Delta State as alleged, celebrities such as Tiwa Savage, Davido, Toyin Abraham and others have called for action against SARS which has been involved severally in indiscriminate killings.
“END SARS!!!! @MBuhari @jidesanwoolu #WeAreTired,” Tiwa wrote.
Davido wrote: “#endsarsnow !!!! If we all come together as brothers and sisters and also as citizens of this country we can end this Nonsense!!”
Actress Toyin Abraham said: “#endsars we are tired.”
Actress Kate Henshaw also wrote: “Until SARS kills one of their own…..then and only then will they care…”
