Comedian AY has advised celebrities who are currently in the news to learn humility from singer 2Baba, actor Richard Mofe-Damijo and others.
Born Ayodeji Makun, AY in his tweet on Tuesday said, “Dear reigning & trending celebrity, before you allow the fame to take the best of you, just know that you are digging your own grave. There is a reason why 2Baba, RMD & others are still in the same business where some don’t last more than 2 years.”
The father of one added that “talent is not enough” and beckoned on celebrities to be humble.
AY’s statement follows the decision of singer Naira Marley to call off his planned protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) after the police assured they were taking the ban on SARS seriously.
Another singer Runtown, however, insists his protest on Thursday will continue.
Twitter users had earlier in the day knocked Naira Marley for calling off his planned protest similar to what 2Baba did in March 2019.
