The Soundcity Urban Blast Festival which was held over the weekend at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Lekki, Lagos, will be remembered for two things
First is the surprise appearance of rapper, Kel, after a two-year hiatus.
Once touted as the sexiest and most promising female emcee on the Nigerian rap scene, the ‘Waa Wa Alright’ lyricist was almost unrecognisable as a plus size entertainer.
Her performance included the 2007 hit track ‘U go Wound’ featuring Illbliss and Suspekt.
‘Reggae Blues’ singer, Harrysong, also made an ill-advised statement as he threw money at the crowd during his performance.
The cash was made available to him by Five Star Music Manager, Soso Soberekan.
Pop singer, Davido and Bracket also delivered impressive performances at the event.
