Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has declared support for the #EndSWAT campaign sweeping through Nigeria.
The French player tweeted on Wednesday that he was in support of the movement to end the new police unit the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) meant to replace the deadly and defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
“I support Nigerian 🇳🇬💪🏽#EndSWAT #SARSMUSTEND From France 🇫🇷,” Kingsley, 24, wrote.
The protests against police brutality have entered the eighth day in Lagos and a few other parts of the country.
Protesters say they are not backing down unless the police find a means to effectively stop indiscriminate killings and harassment.
