Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has said that Satan will repent and convert to Islam first before he will defect to the People Democratic Party (PDP).
El-Rufai made the statement in a reply to one of his followers on Twitter, who asked whether he plans to defect to the ruling party at the centre.
The ex-minister’s friend and presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the 2011 general elections, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, recently dumped APC for PDP.
El-Rufai served the PDP government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo as minister.
Ribadu also served the same government as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
