Comedian and actor Bovi on Thursday night joked he was quitting comedy.
In a tweet, Bovi said, “I quit comedy.”
Bovi had on October 18 said he felt he had failed in comedy because government officials were funnier than him.
Born Abovi Ugboma, Bovi has been a comedian for over a decade and has also moved into the movie industry.
He began his career in April 2007 when he produced the sitcom Extended Family, but his break-out performance was in the comedy show Nite of a Thousand Laughs organised by Opa Williams.
Bovi has performed in cities such as London, Melbourne and Toronto.
The 41-year-old is married with three children.
