Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has dissociated himself from a Facebook account bearing his name with financial promises for the youths.
The 28-year-old’s attention was brought to the fraudulent account by a Twitter user on Thursday.
“Drop your account number here. I’m giving out the sum of 200,000 naira to all Nigeria people for the youth empowerment,” the message from the fraudulent account read.
Musa tweeted that it was “fake”.
The winger had in October departed Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr on mutual agreement.
Musa is currently in Edo State training with the rest of the team ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Sierra Leone.
