No less than 15 persons who claim to be victims of the October 20 shooting of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos were at the sitting of the judicial panel of inquiry on Friday.
The injured persons arrived in a white bus accompanied by a banner-carrying group New Nigeria Network.
A spokesperson for the group said, “We have people with amputated legs; we have people with brain surgery in this van; we have dozens of them that are yet to be discharged. This is from Lekki tollgate massacre 2020. We want justice. We don’t want to be silenced; we don’t want to be marginalised even in our own country.”
In their entourage was Nathaniel Solomon whose younger brother Abouta Solomon was allegedly shot dead at the toll gate.
The Nigerian Army has denied allegations that it shot at peaceful protesters, saying it only fired blanks into the air.
