Reggae artiste, Majek Fashek, has declared that he did not enter a rehab for substance abuse.
Speaking as the celebrity guest on the TVC talk show, Your View, on Friday the musician said he went into seclusion for spiritual rebirth.
“It was wrong to say I was taken to a rehab. I only went into seclusion for spiritual rebirth,” he said.
The rainmaker as he is famously called also told the hosts that he was working on projects that would challenge the dominant contemporary hip-hop music of today.
His denial notwithstanding, Majek was discharged from Abuja based rehabilitation centre, Synapse Service, in October after about two months of treatment for substance abuse.
Since then he has performed at different shows including Felabration, COSON Week and most recently The Headies.
