Nollywood actress Shan George has described late filmmaker Chico Ejiro as her godfather in the movie industry.
The 50-year-old said this in an Instagram post on Friday in reaction to Ejiro’s death earlier in the day.
“It’s a sad Christmas day. My Godfather in the industry passed on this morning. Yesterday he was very fine, he wrapped shoot on a new movie he was directing. A true definition of d word LEGEND,” Shan wrote.
Describing the deceased as a multiple award-winning movie producer/director,” Shan added “words fail me sir, may your soul rest in the bosom of God.”
Ejiro died in the early hours of Christmas Day from suspected cardiac arrest.
Shan George acted in Ejiro’s Outcast and Sisters of the Run among others.
Ejiro had just finished shooting a movie titled Relapse before he died.
