Jude Okoye, older brother of singer Paul Okoye has said he believes he contracted the virus from his brother.
The father of two disclosed this in a chat with Punch on Saturday.
His statement come shortly after his wife Ify Okoye revealed she was on nebulizer support due to the virus.
Explaining how he might have gotten the virus, Jude said it would have been from Paul because the latter goes out and he does not.
“I believe I got the virus from Rudeboy because we normally sit together most times and he is the one that goes out for promotions. Somehow, I believe that I got it from him because I do not go out,” he wrote.
Jude also assured that his wife was recovering and doing fine.
“My wife is responding to treatment but I will not really say treatment because COVID does not have a cure. She is responding to the symptom she is getting.
“She is self-isolating at home. Everybody is fine including the kids; it is just that for my wife, she has recovered but she is having this post-recovery symptom. That is what is going on. Everybody is fine even though everybody in my family got it,” he said.
Jude added that he will be taking his family for another test the coming week to ensure they are COVID free.
“The doctor has certified me negative but I will take all my family for another test next week to be sure that we are all COVID-19 negative,” he said.
Jude announced he had survived coronavirus on Wednesday.
“Been through hell. Face of COVID-19 survivor,” he wrote.
On Tuesday Paul announced he tested positive.
He shared a picture of himself to tell his followers he has tested negative after 11 days of battling the virus on Wednesday.
In June 2020, his twin brother Peter announced he tested positive.
