Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has tested positive again for the coronavirus after a second test conducted on Monday.
The Italian club stated this on Twitter, saying “The result from Victor Osimhen’s Covid-19 test this (Monday) morning has come back positive.
“The player will be tested again during the week.”
Osimhen, 22, first tested positive for COVID-19 upon return to Naples on New Year Day, after spending time in Nigeria, where he attended a birthday party and breached COVID-19 protocols.
The Nigerian’s actions angered Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso and the club’s fans.
Osimhen has already missed a significant number of games this season, having been out of action since suffering a shoulder injury while on international duty with Nigeria last November.
