Musician Seun Kuti has set up the Cheerful Givers Association of Nigeria to counter the Stingy Men Association of Nigeria.
The 38-year-old revealed this in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
He said their motto is ‘because African Women Are Worth It’.
“What is this STINGY MEN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (SMAN) Trying to give us a bad name. We Nigerian men that understand the art of taking care of our women.
“If we don’t do it who will? Abeg join the winning team because AFRICAN WOMEN ARE WORTH IT,” he wrote.
In another post he shared a picture of his identification (ID) card.
“Join the winning team!! CGAN for all the men Wey the SEE GAN! Soup Wey sweet na better money kill am,” he wrote.
The Stingy Men Association trended on Monday after Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy shared his ID card of social media.
Several other men on Twitter have followed suit in acquiring their ID cards.
Singer JJC Skillz has shown interest in the Cheerful Givers Association of Nigeria.
