A fan of Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has traveled all the way from New Jersey USA to Dubai to watch her latest movie Omo Ghetto The Saga.
Funke, 43, shared a video of three ladies at a Dubai cinema on Instagram on Thursday.
In the video, one of the ladies explained she traveled to watch the movie because of her love for the actress.
The ladies said they were sisters and Ghanaians.
Funke, surprised by this asked if anyone knew them and declared them her true fans.
“What??????? She came all the way from NEW JERSEY to watch #omoghettothesagamovie ???? No way!! I can’t believe this. Pls I need their handles, somebody pls tag them!!
“These beautiful ladies are my true fans. I love you guys. God bless you so much. I’m so happy,” she wrote.
Funke, her husband Abdulrasheed Bello, professionally known as JJC Skillz, Bimbo Thomas, Alexx Ekubo, Chioma Akpotha and Deyemi Okanlawon have also gone to Dubai for the release of their movie Omo Ghetto The Saga.
Omo Ghetto The Saga made history when it became the first Nigerian movie to premiere in the United Arab Emirates on January 21.
It was premiered in Nigeria on December 25 and has grossed N373milllion in three weeks according to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).
The prequel Omo Ghetto was released in 2010 starring Funke Akindele, Rachel Oniga, Taiwo Hassan, Yinka Quadri, and Eniola Badmus.
