Nigerian singer and songwriter, 9ice, is 36-year-old today, January 17, 2015. To celebrate the award winning singer, here are 10 things we know about him.
- His real name is Abolore Akande.
- 9ice hails from Ogbomoso in Oyo State, Nigeria but grew up in the district of Bariga in Lagos.
- He got his major break after he released the hit single ‘Gongo Aso’ produced by ID Cabasa.
- 9ice was among the performers at the Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday Tribute concert held in London on June 27, 2008.
- Alapomeji as he is famously called has collaborated with several A-list artistes in Nigeria including 2face Idibia, Oritsefemi and Olamide.
