Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom on Wednesday said he had tested negative for COVID-19 after one week of treatment.
The governor announced he tested negative while addressing journalists at the new banquet hall of Government House, Makurdi.
He appreciated the people of the state, his friends and supporters across the country for their prayers during the period of self-isolation.
Mr Ortom also thanked his deputy Benson Abounu and urged the people of the state to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols.
