Big Brother Naija star Mercy Eke has said that Ijeoma Nneke a 27-year-old make-up artist who was killed by two siblings was her course mate.
The 27-year-old in two tweets spoke on the relationship she had with Ms Nneke on Thursday.
She said Nneke was a brilliant woman who graduated with a second class-upper degree in Psychology.
“Ijeoma neke was my coursemate💔a very brilliant young woman, she graduated with a 2/1. ijeoma was one of the best in my department( psychology Dept .2010/2014) we always tease each other and I will tell her “girl you must work in my rehabilitation center 💔#JusticeForIjeoma,” she wrote.
In the second tweet she said she prayed when she heard Nneke was missing.
“And she will say mercy this department doesn’t fit you😤 and we will laugh over it, when I heard she was missing we hopped and prayed they find her alive, my heart is pleading💔 we want justice, just must be served🙏🏾 #JusticeForIjeoma,” she said.
Two siblings Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka have been arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Grade I, Enugu North over the death of Nneke.
Magistrate J. I. Agu ordered on Wednesday that the siblings be remanded at the Enugu correctional facility.
Nneke was on November 11, 2020, booked for a make-up job in an undisclosed location but was told to get to ESBS bus-stop where she would be picked up.
Nnamdi Nneke, brother of the deceased, said the family learnt that one of the suspects claimed the make-up artist was in a relationship with her supposed boyfriend.
“They called her to come for a make-up job which was a fake job because there was no job. When she got to the venue, she was locked up, drugged and was killed by pouring acid on her body,” he said.
The case has been adjourned to February 24, 2021.
#JusticeForIjeoma has topped the trends table as many clamor for her killers to pay for the crime they have committed.
