Nigeria international Odion Ighalo has penned a two-and-half year deal with Saudi Arabian Pro League club Al-Shabab.
The move opens a new chapter for the 31-year-old who spent a year on loan at Manchester United from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
Al-Shabab are currently top of the Saudi Professional League, just past the halfway stage of the season. They are looking to winning their first league title since 2011/12.
The club confirmed the signing in a tweet on Thursday, saying: “Al Shabab has been signed with the Nigerian Odion Ighalo @ighalojude (Ex. Man United striker) for a two and a half years.”
Ighalo also shared photos from the sign-on ceremony on social media.
The ex-Manchester United forward will link up with Argentina international Ever Banega, who joined from Sevilla at the end of last season, as well as former Real Betis and Wolves midfielder Alfred N’Diaye.
