Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has insisted he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Mr Fani-Kayode was forced to speak following a video which went viral on Wednesday showing Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello saying the ex-minister had joined the ruling All Progressives Congress.
In a swift reaction, Fani-Kayode admitted that although he was holding talks across party lines, he was still a PDP member.
“Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation, I have not left the PDP,” he tweeted.
Fani-Kayode had on Monday met with Bello and the caretaker chairman of the APC Mai Buni in Abuja.
On Tuesday, he also met former President Goodluck Jonathan whom APC leaders held talks with recently.
