Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo fondly called RMD broke down in tears on Tuesday while paying tribute to the late movie producer and director Chico Ejiro.
Speaking at the service of songs in honour of Ejiro held at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, RMD narrated how good a man Ejiro was.
The actor revealed that he received news of Ejiro’s death on Christmas Day in his Dubai hotel room and all he kept saying was “We no many o! We o many o!! We no many!!!”
The expression is believed to mean Nollywood has lost many veterans and there are not so many left.
RMD also prayed that Ejiro’s children back from others the kindness that their father worked for.
