Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma on Tuesday met President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The governor said in a tweet that he met with the president behind closed doors.
“I was received by President @MBuhari in a closed door meeting at the State House, Abuja,” he said.
Though details of the meeting are yet to be disclosed, it is believed to be connected with the recent incident in Imo State which saw the arrest of the immediate past governor of the state Senator Rochas Okorocha.
Okorocha and Uzodimma are both members of the All Progressives Congress.
The ex-governor along with some of his aides were arrested on Sunday after breaking the seal placed by Uzodimma’s administration on Spring Palm Estate.
The estate is linked to Okorocha’s wife Nkechi.
