Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has been appointed ambassador for peace building by the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC).
Tonto revealed this in an Instagram post on Friday.
The actress shared a picture of herself and the executive secretary of NCPC Rev. Yakubu Pam at his office in Abuja.
Tonto said, “We had an extensive deliberation on NCPC vision, dissecting the values for National development and youth involvement in peace building in line with the NCPC’s mandate.”
The actress also solicited prayers from her followers for the peace building mission.
Tonto’s visit to the NCPC office was also captured by Rev Pam in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“Today I received the Director, Socials and Empowerment, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) @tontolet of @officalthetontodikehfoundation,” he wrote.
Tonto was appointed director of socials and empowerment by the pro-government Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) in July 2020.
She was presented with the award of excellence as the Domestic Violence Advocate of the Year on November 12, 2020.
The actress was also honoured by the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) for being a vanguard for youth emancipation and serving as a bridge for national unity and consensus in September 2020.
