Activist Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has advised the Federal Government to focus on arresting Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, and Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi who has been holding meetings with bandits in the north before coming for him.
Security forces had attempted to arrest the activist on Friday along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Sunday Igboho, an activist against killer herdsmen, told PUNCH that he was never invited before the attempt to arrest him.
Asked if he would honour a police invitation, he said, “Go and ask them to invite Gumi and Shekau first before disturbing me. Let them face the bandits instead.”
The activist also said he would not run, adding that he had returned to his residence in Ibadan.
He revealed that the embargo placed on his bank account was recently lifted.
