Former Imo State governor Senator Rochas Okorocha on Sunday clashed with a former chairman of south-east council of traditional rulers Eze Cletus Ilomuanya at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.
The duo was aboard Air Peace aircraft en route Abuja.
It was gathered that the traditional ruler accused Okorocha of being the cause of his present day predicaments, and Okorocha in return said he had no regrets deposing him.
Okorocha also said “he would repeat his actions 10 times if he were still the governor,” a former commissioner in Okorocha’s administration who was an eyewitness told PUNCH.
A source quoted by the newspaper said the traditional ruler attacked Okorocha with his walking stick inside the aircraft.
“If not for the timely intervention of the flight captain, who rushed out when Ilomuanya was hitting Okorocha with his royal walking stick to leave his sight, the story would have been something else,” the source said.
But the ex-commissioner denied that Okorocha was physically attacked.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson Sam Onwuemeodo, over the incident, Okorocha warned politicians against name-dropping him while seeking favour from the Uzodimma administration.
