Former Delta State commissioner for women affairs and social development Omatsola Williams has died.
Ossai Success, an aide of Delta governor Ifeanyi Okowa, broke the news on Monday in a Facebook post.
Williams reportedly died on Sunday night.
The Itsekiri-born politician hailed from Warri North Local Government Area of the state and was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
She is survived by her husband Saka Williams and son Rasheed Williams.
The deceased was an ordained reverend of the Church of the Lord (Aladura) Worldwide (CLAW).
Williams served in four civilian governments including the incumbent Okowa administrationbwhere she was appointed member of the Delta state task force on human trafficking and commissioner for women affairs.
