The lifeless naked body of a young woman has been found in a gutter in Enugu State.
Residents woke up this week to the body of the 20-year-old along Presidential Road, Independence Layout in Enugu metropolis.
The police identified the deceased as Orji Chiamaka Precious Gold after evacuation, it was learnt.
She was a National Diploma holder of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Department of Science Laboratory Technology.
Although the cause of her death remains a mystery, eyewitnesses believe she is a victim of ritualists.
Enugu police commissioner Mohammed Aliyu in a statement said: “Police have arrested two (2) persons and are investigating them to ascertain their involvement in the death of the young lady.
“The State CID will also carry out a full-scale investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the young lady.”
“Police Operatives attached to New Haven Police Division have move the body of the lady to mortuary,” he added.
