Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham was delirious with joy at the 50th birthday party of socialite Tayo Fakorede held over the Easter holiday in Lagos.
Mrs. Fakorede is the wife of Bashir Fakorede, chairman of Bash Distinct Oil.
She is also Toyin Abraham’s godmother and promoter of her latest production Ige.
Predictably, the actress was life of the party at the birthday celebration.
She attended the party in company of her husband Kolawole Ajeyemi.
Also present were actors Deyemi Okanlawon, Kehinde Bankole and others.
On the bandstand was Fuji star King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, also known as K1 de Ultimate, who sang the praise of the celebrant and others present.
K1 did not only sing, he also sprayed money on Toyin Abraham and Kehinde Bankole as they danced to his music.
Toyin said she almost went gaga when the musician started singing her husband’s praise.
“Let me tell you what happened when King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall mentioned my husband’s name. I wanted to start going gaga. Godmother Tayo Fakorede had to caution me. Anyway, I had fun with my friends yesterday, she wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.
Toyin Abraham’s Ige was premiered at IMAX Filmhouse Cinema, Lekki Lagos on April 3, the day her godmother turned 50.
Directed by Biodun Stephen and produced by the actress, it is the grass to grace story of Bashir Fakorede who said he rose to the top of his chosen field against all odds.
It is an adaptation of Fakorede’s biography written by his wife when he turned 50.
It features Lateef Adedimeji, Toyin Abraham, Mo Bimpe, Taiwo Hassan, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Antar Laniyan and others.
Mrs. Fakorede said the movie is to teach youths that hard work and determination pay, and that successful people don’t just wake up in a day and become rich.
