Elegushi of Ikate land His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi, Kusenla III on Monday sent his appreciation note to all who attended his birthday party.
The monarch hosted guests to glitzy dinner at the Monarch Events Centre on Saturday.
He posted his appreciation note to Instagram which reads: “With a grateful heart; I want to thank everyone one, my wives, my family, friends and associates…. all of you gave me a memorable day, a day I won’t forget in a hurry. I thank you all. It was a day to remember!!!”
The birthday party began with several events such as the chieftaincy conferment on Olalekan Bakare as Aro Oba Elegushi of Ikateland.
The cultural ceremony saw the new Aro changing to different outfits seven times. Then he was joined by some white caps chiefs, and together, they led a procession to the Elegushi Palace.
The king received them with his trademark smile and warmth and then decorated the new chief to the delight of all.
The party had top-rated comedians Gbenga Adeyinka and Ali Baba as comperes.
Veentage Band, DJ Spinal, Davido, Naira Marley, Patoranking, Fireboy, CDQ and Lil Kesh entertained guests.
Dignitaries at the event included Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sani, Rev.
