Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy has celebrated Davido on the latter’s 10th anniversary in the music industry.
The 38-year-old music producer said in an Instagram message on Sunday that he has been a fan of the DMW boss from way back
“Happy 10 years anniversary to the baddest. @davido it’s not beans at all. I have been a fan from back when and you have done so well for yourself and for the game. Keep lifting others keep rising,” Don Jazzy wrote.
Davido released his first single ‘Back When’ featuring Naeto C in 2011 but rose to fame with the release of ‘Dami Duro’.
Both songs made it to his 2012 album Omo Baba Olowo.
The 28-year-old has released three other studio albums and several hit songs including ‘Gobe’, ‘Skelewu’, ‘Aye’, ‘Fans Mi’, ‘Fall’, ‘Fia’, ‘Assurance’, ‘FEM’ and ‘Jowo’.
He has won multiple awards at home and abroad and is regarded as one of the biggest contemporary Nigerian artistes on the global stage.
Davido revealed in a 2017 Twitter post that he stayed with Mo’ Hits, a defunct record label founded by Don Jazzy and D’banj, for one year before getting his big break.
Twitter on Friday released an emoji for the hashtag #DavidoAt10 to celebrate the singer’s 10 years on stage.
