President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday called a meeting with the country’s security chiefs at the State House, Abuja following attempted robbery at Aso Rock.
Unknown persons had attempted to burgle the residence of the president’s chief of staff Prof Ibrahim Gambari on Monday.
The Presidency announced the meeting via Twitter handle but did not give details of its agenda.
Buhari last met the security chiefs on May 4.
“Security Meeting ongoing, at the State House. President @MBuhari presiding, Vice President, SGF, NSA, Ministers, Service Chiefs, IGP, Intelligence Chiefs in attendance. #AsoVillaToday #SecuringNigeria,” the Presidency tweeted.
Among those at the meeting are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha; Gambari; and national security adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno (retd.).
Others are the attorney-general and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami; minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; minister of defense, Major-General Bashir Magashi (retd.) and minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
