Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has described the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) as one full of hypocrites.
Mr El-Rufai stated this on Saturday night while responding to a tweet by PDP Vanguard that the governor was planning to arrest NLC President Ayuba Wabba.
“FATHERS OF ALL HYPOCRITES: Kaduna will wait for you all – the invisible PDP & affiliates like the hypocritical NLC that is yet to implement the National Minimum Wage Act, 2019 for its own employees,” his tweet read.
El-Rufai’s comments came ahead of a five-day warning strike by the state chapter of NLC which commences on Monday.
Aviation workers shut down the Kaduna airport in compliance with the NLC directive on Saturday.
Kaduna commissioner for local government affairs Jafaru Sani during a press conference on Saturday alleged the NLC were planning to cause mayhem in the state.
Among other allegations, NLC is accusing Kaduna State Government of sacking over 30,000 workers in 2016 and refusing to pay their entitlements.
