The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has paid a visit to Lady Doja, a one-time first lady of Lagos State and mother of billionaire Femi Otedola.
In a post across social media platforms on Wednesday, Mr Otedola thanked the monarch for the visit on Tuesday.
“All hail the King Ooni of Ile-Ife! Thank you for your visit to my dear Mother, Lady Doja yesterday,” he wrote.
Speaking in Yoruba in the video posted by Otedola, the Ooni said he and his team were grateful they met her in good health and also prayed she would remain so.
Lady Doja, who turned 89 in April, was married to the late Sir Michael Otedola who was governor of Lagos from 1992 to 1993.
In 2019, wife of the Lagos State governor Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu paid a courtesy visit to Lady Doja at her residence in Epe, Lagos.
It was the first time a first lady of Lagos would pay a former first lady a courtesy call.
