Founder of the Household of God Church Rev. Chris Okotie has released a strong-worded statement about the vengeance of God on the enemies of the church.
Okotie’s message released on Tuesday, June 8 came three days after the death of the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations Prophet Temitope Joshua popularly called TB Joshua.
Although Okotie did not mention any name in his message posted to social media, he wrote that the “wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation,” a reference many have attached to Joshua whose church’s slogan is Emmanuel.
“The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.
“No marvel, one third of God’s angels followed the disgraced anointed cherub Lucifer!!” Okotie wrote.
“Jehovah-Jesus our mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows. He has descended from the mountain of spices with the fiery sword of his indignation. Glorious in his apparel and traveling in the greatness of his strength, he goes conquering and to conquer the adversaries of his church.”
Okotie has been a long-standing critic of Joshua. In 2017, he accused Joshua who died aged 57 of “shamanist practices”.
Concluding his message, Okotie wrote, “Let those who swear by the Lord and by Malcham and the descendants of Haman, now tremble in fear. The day of the vengeance of our God has fully come to Nigeria. And they shall not escape. Operation Hupopodion (footstool) has commenced. More Power To You !!!”
Many Christian leaders in Nigeria have been quiet about Joshua’s death especially as the SCOAN founder had been considered an outsider in the Christian fold.
His methods were considered unorthodox and unbiblical and he was never accepted in the Christian Association of Nigeria and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.
