Minister of state for industry, trade and investment Mariam Katagum has been discharged from hospital after slumping at an official event on Monday in Bauchi State.
Katagum was admitted to the trauma centre of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital after she slumped.
A nurse, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told the news media that the minister had been discharged.
“The minister was brought here yesterday for medical care. She spent the night here and has been discharged.
“She suffered from exhaustion and was discharged about 9am because she was stable. She has been taken back to Abuja,” she said.
The minister, an indigene of Bauchi, had been in the state since Saturday.
