Nigeria international Peter Etebo has joined Watford on a season-long loan from Stoke City.
Announcing the latest addition, the club said in a statement on its website on Friday, “Watford FC is pleased to confirm the signing of Peter Etebo on a season-long loan from Stoke City, with an option to buy. Welcome to Watford, Peter!”
Since joining the Potters in June 2018, the 25-year-old has also spent time on loan at Getafe and Galatasaray, appearing in the Europa League for the latter.
The midfielder also expressed excitement at joining Watford in an Instagram post.
“Looking forward to the next season joining Watford FC , it will be a new challenge and I am ready to move forward with the team,” he wrote.
Etebo has 38 caps for Nigeria’s senior side. The former Warri Wolves player moved to Portugal in 2016 to join Feirense.
