Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday commiserated with his Ogun State counterpart Dapo Abiodun who lost his father Emmanuel Abiodun.
The family’s patriarch died in his sleep at the age of 89 after a brief illness.
In a message posted to Instagram, Mr Sanwo-Olu prayed that the deceased would find peace with God.
He said, “My heartfelt condolences to my Friend, Brother and colleague. His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun. Governor of Ogun state, on the passing of his dear Father, Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun.
“Papa lived a fulfilled life, and answered the clarion call at the ripe age of 89.
“On behalf of my family, and the good people of Lagos state, we commiserate with Governor Dapo Abiodun, and pray that the Lord comforts him and his loved ones during this period. And may Papa’s soul find rest with God. Amen.”
