Former member of the defunct music trio Plantashun Boiz Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo popularly known as Blackface has said that his reconciliation with fellow band member Innocent Idibia also known as 2Baba is not fake.
The Benue-born singer disclosed this in an interview on Saturday with The Punch’s Saturday Beats after fans opined that the reconciliation was not genuine.
“I did not feel boxed into a corner by any means. It was a spontaneous reaction and we all know that holding grudges does not help anyone because life is too short. I am at peace with 2Baba and I want him to be at peace with himself too,” he said.
Their feud began after Blackface accused 2Baba of allegedly recording the hit song ‘African Queen’ without giving him due credit.
The two singers were urged to bury the hatchet at a tribute organised in memory of Sound Sultan.
