Internet hackers have invaded the social media pages of the late singer Sound Sultan with the possible intention of extorting from his fans.
His brother Baba Dee made this known in an Instagram post on Saturday, shortly after his wife Farida Fasasi raised an alarm about the hack, warning that her family is no longer in charge of the operations of the accounts.
“Kindly disregard any communication from all Sound Sultan social media accounts. The accounts have been hacked by scammers sending messages to innocent people to solicit funds. Please the family has no control over the accounts,” she wrote.
Baba Dee also wrote; “This is a big shame. Please disregard any request from Sound Sultan’s social media handles, the account has been compromised across board. Evil people everywhere.”
Sound Sultan’s Facebook page has been taken over by an unknown hacker who goes by the name Lara Emily.
Sound Sultan died of throat cancer on July 11, 2021. He was aged 44.
