Senator Dino Melaye on Sunday posted a photo of himself dressed in Arsenal colours, teasing that he was the club’s new “global striker”.
His post came hours before Arsenal play Chelsea at the Emirates, with the Gunners having problems with finding the net.
Offering hope to Arsenal, Melaye wrote in his Instagram post, “Hope for Arsenal as they sign a new global striker.”
Arsenal lost its opening game at Brentford 2-0, increasing fans frustration from last season when the club finished eighth.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are likely to start new striker Romelu Lukaku at the Emirates.
