General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye has allegedly sold his helicopter with registration number 5NEAA over high maintenance cost.
The clergyman had purchased the aircraft in September 2020 for easy movement across the world.
Church Gist, a Facebook-based outfit with focus on church matters, reports that the total cost of maintaining the helicopter for a single month was about $300,000, triggering the decision to discard the aircraft.
It also reported that Adeboye, 79, has resorted to using the helicopter belonging to Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church for his missionary travels.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had in April 2021 suspended Adeboye’s helicopter from flying over alleged expired documents and spare parts which needed to be replaced.
