Amaka Ngige, daughter of the minister of labour and employment Chris Ngige, has graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Ms Ngige graduated in a ceremony held on Friday at the Old Great Hall within the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
The minister and his wife, Evelyn Ngige, both medical doctors, were at the ceremony to support their daughter.
Ngige had in 2017 said he had a child affected by an industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Again, in 2020, he said one of his children was affected by another ASUU strike.
It was gathered that Ngige’s two sons are also in the medical field. One of them Raphael Ngige reportedly graduated last year from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State Univerisity. The other is yet to graduate.
