The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, has confirmed that bandits have released five more students and a matron of Bethel Baptist High School.
The school located in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state was invaded on July 5 and scores of students taken captive.
Chairman, Kaduna CAN, Rev. John Hayab told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday of the latest development, adding that one student was released within the week.
This brings the number of those released so far to 117.
“We have four now with bandits, we thank all Nigerians for their prayers and support,” he said.
