Sensational dancer Janemena through her legal team has written a petition against Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh over allegations of cyberstalking and defamation.
Recall that during her breakup crisis with her ex-lover Prince Kpokpogri, Tonto shared voice recordings of the latter in an Instagram post where he recounted his sexual experiences with some celebrities. The actress also alleged that Kpokpogri has Janemena’s sex tape and that it was just a matter of time before he blackmails her with it.
Reacting in a statement released on Tuesday, the dancer alleged that Tonto Dikeh caused to be published on her social media handles purported voice notes suggesting that the sex tapes of herself and Kpokpogri were being held by the latter with the intention to blackmail her (Janemena) with it.
The sum of N500 million was also demanded as compensation for the damages.
Part of the statement read: “Immediate retraction of your publications under reference in and by all social media platforms where you have accounts, to wit: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc, publication of the retraction of your aforesaid publications in four national dailies in Nigeria, tender unreserved apology to our client Mrs. Usiwo Orezimena Jane popularly known as “Janemena” in respect of the malicious publication – subject matters of this letter – through a personal letter signed by you, publication of the letter of apology in all social media platforms where you have account(s), to wit: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, publication of the letter of apology over your aforesaid publications in four national dailies in Nigeria, and payment of the sum of N500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) to our client through our law office as exemplary damages for the malicious publications.”
Janemena also threatened to take legal actions against Tonto if she does not retract and apologise for her statement.
“If we do not receive your formal retraction, letter of apology and the sum demanded above within one month of the receipt of this letter, we shall commence legal action (civil and criminal) against you in a court of competent jurisdiction to seek redress for Janemena (our client).”
