Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has questioned the operation of the Nigerian Police at the Lekki toll gate.
Some uniformed men were spotted at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the police were assigned to control and ensure stability and security for the forthcoming #EndSARS protest anniversary.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Kate Henshaw questioned the presence of the police.
“What is the huge presence of police at the Lekki toll gate this morning? Just noticed them this morning. Wish they would be this proactive on ‘real’ security issues that plague the people,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Monday, the commissioner of police Hakeem Odumosu threatened that the police would use all legitimate means to stop the proposed protests in support of #EndSARS movement.
