Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo made a comment in July about the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) shortly after the funeral of the mother of socialite Obi Iyiegbu aka obi Cubana in Anambra.
The actor alongside singers Davido, Kcee, D’banj, Patoranking, actor Alexx Ekubo, and socialite E-Money all attended the funeral.
Kanayo O. Kanayo was caught on camera spraying bundles of naira on Obi Cubana.
Following criticism over the source of wealth of the burial attendees, the 59-year-old advised his critics to work hard so that they would not feel inferior when the EFCC arrests their neighbours and leave them behind.
“Start to hustle, make EFCC no come your compound, pack everybody and leave you alone,” he said in Pidgin English.
The EFCC arrested Obi Cubana on Monday over allegations of money laundering and tax evasion.
Obi Cubana owns a chain of businesses that includes nightclubs in Lagos and Abuja.
