Filmmaker-actress Ego Boyi has congratulated Rita Dominic and the cast La Femme Anjola for bagging four nominations at 2021 the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
Ego reposted an Instagram post from fellow filmmaker Mildred Okwo congratulating the actress and her crew.
“Here’s a shoutout to everyone who has played a role in the production of #lafemmeanjola . You all are members of the kitchen cabinet and any recognition this special project receives belongs to all of us. Special shoutout to Anjie baby and her start struck lover Dejare played beautifully by @ritadominic and @nonsobassey and our entire production and post production sound team for delivering a world class performance that makes all of us proud.
“Thanks to the organisers of the @amaawards_ for validating the hard work of the cast and crew of La Femme Anjola. The Audrey Silva is committed to setting the pace when it comes to telling the African story. Long live the African story,” the post read.
La Femme Anjola received nominations for best actor and actress in a leading role category, played by Rita Dominic and Nonso Bassey, best Nigerian film and best achievement in sound.
The 2021 AMAA is set to hold on November 28 in Ikeja, Lagos.
